On September 23, 2019, a gaming alliance was formed and recognized by the United Nations to address the threats of climate change. In the announcement, the UN acknowledged the pledges made by 14 game companies when the Playing for the Planet Alliance was formed. Niantic Inc, Rovio, Pixelberry, Google Stadia, Microsoft, Sybo, E-Line Media are among those involved.
In the same week, our friends at Artstation provided a platform to a number of artists who used art as a universal language to share their thoughts and views on climate change.
